Perennial - "A" Is For Abstract: The Complete Art History

Whenever they were asked to describe their breakthrough 2024 album, Art History, Perennial always called it an art project. There were the 12 songs that eventually made the LP, but along the way there was also a full album’s worth of experiments and adventures: studio-as-instrument reworkings of earlier songs; remixes by the band’s heroes; Musique concrète sound collages; psychedelic pop confections. To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Art History and the ten-year anniversary of the band, Perennial will be releasing the full Art History sessions. The album, titled “A” Is For Abstract: The Complete Art History, will compile the 2024 album with 11 additional tracks from those sessions, including the full Lemon On Plastic and The Leaves Of Autumn Symmetry EPs, remixes by Cody Votolato (The Blood Brothers) and Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie), and the new single “Baby, Are You Abstract?”.
